Beginning October 1, 2004, full
payment of a four-year registration (reg.) is required
for NEW passenger automobiles. A new vehicle
is defined as one that has never been titled. For example,
a new vehicle could be the latest model year vehicle,
a leftover from a previous year, or perhaps a demo model.
The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) has set up a system to help calculate the approximate
registration fee. The actual fee may differ, depending upon the actual date the registration is
issued, documentation submitted by the applicant, the accuracy of data entered and the MVC fee
structure in effect at the time of registration.
To calculate your fee, click on "Model Year
and Registration Term" below to start. Answer the
questions and press the "CONTINUE" button to move to
the next page. At the end, you will be able to print
the registration fee page for your convenience. |
