Mr. Walton is a Hunterdon County Freeholder. As a Freeholder, he serves as a Member of the County Planning Board and liaison to the County Parks Department, Division of Corrections, Buildings and Maintenance, Department of Public Safety/Emergency Management, the Open Space Advisory Board, the Human Services Department and as an alternate liaison to the Vocational Board of Education.

Prior to becoming a Hunterdon County Freeholder, he was a Hampton Borough Councilman and twice elected as Mayor of the Borough. His community activities include serving as a former President and member of the Hampton Recreation Association; former President and current Vice President of Holy Name Society of St Ann’s Church, Hampton; and former CCD Teacher. He is a founding Trustee of the Hampton Borough Community Educational Foundation and Deputy Chief of the Hampton Volunteer Fire Company. In 2008, the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce recognized him as the Municipal Leader of the Year.

Mr. Walton holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Honorarium in Humanities from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), College of Engineering and Albert Dorman Honors College, Newark.
