Gov. Chris Christie announced in May that former New Jersey Gov. Thomas H. Kean will lead a task force to improve the state’s higher education system. The quality of education that students receive at colleges and universities is closely tied to a strong work force. The task force will look at issues related to the relationship between colleges and the state’s workforce needs, as well as the need for investing money in the state’s 63 colleges and universities to improve the higher education sector.
