April 27, 2012 — New Charter Schools

Two public charter schools will open in Newark next year. Newark Prep and Spirit Prep will use an innovative blended learning school program that includes online learning and face-to-face instruction. Also, students will attend school onsite every day; however, each school will structure the schedule so that students are able to progress at their own pace and receive the enrichment or remediation they need.
