Newsweek magazine’s latest list of the 1,000 top public high schools in America hit newsstands in May. Of the 1,000, 138 of the schools are in California, 118 in New York, 86 in Texas and 74 in New Jersey. New Jersey debuts on the list at No. 20 with Biotechnology High School in Freehold, followed immediately by Bergen County Academies in Hackensack.
