December 31, 2012 — Green Engineering at Cape May Tech

A December 2012 article in The Press of Atlantic City featured students from Cape May Technical High School in Cape May Court House who are learning green engineering skills—because the green economy will likely be a strong source of future jobs. Cape May Tech is one of six pilot projects in the state with a focus on environmental engineering, in hopes of preparing students for jobs working with solar power, wind turbines and geothermal systems, to name a few alternative energy sources that are increasingly replacing fossil fuels. The goal of the pilot project, say officials, is “to educate students on how to lead the green revolution that many say is coming.” To find out more about the New Jersey Green Program of Study, visit http://www.njgreenprogramofstudy.org/.
