Julia White, 20 and a junior at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), knew she enjoyed technology when she graduated from South Brunswick High School in 2001. But where would that interest take her? So many places. She entered TCNJ in Ewing as a computer science buff. Now, thanks to a new major in interactive media, one of the only of its kind in the country, Julia is flexing her tech muscles. "I was always interested in computers, art and writing, and interactive multimedia kind of brings everything together, those three different aspects," Julia explains. "I may double major in computer science and interactive media, but I definitely want to major in interactive." This semester, Julia is starting a research project in database management, a field she finds particularly fascinating. She expects to graduate in 2005, or possibly 2006 if her double major demands extra studies.
