NJ Employee Delayed Opening

New Jersey State Police Headquarters, West Trenton, NJ – Governor Chris Christie and Colonel Rick Fuentes, Superintendent of the New Jersey State Police and Director of the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management, have authorized a delayed opening for all State Offices due to the winter weather on Wednesday, January 12, 2011.

As such, the Governor has determined that all State offices will delay opening for two hours  because of the weather conditions.  Essential employees should report on schedule.  All notifications will be made and coordinated by the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management in an expeditious manner.

The New Jersey Office of Emergency Management in coordination with the New Jersey Department of Transportation and various State agencies will continue to monitor the storm and continue statewide cleanup efforts until the event concludes.

Drivers are advised to drive with caution, follow the rules of the road, stay alert and respect the weather elements that may impact their drive.

Motorists are encouraged to check for current road conditions at the New Jersey Department of Transportation website: www.NJ511.org.
