Consumer Affairs Finds No Recalled Tylenol on Store Shelves
NEWARK – Investigators from the State Division of Consumer Affairs found no recalled Tylenol packages on store shelves during spot inspections conducted today in Central New Jersey.
The manufacturer of Tylenol on Monday announced the voluntary recall of Tylenol 8 Hour Caplets, 50 count packages. The lot number of the recalled product is BCM155.
Complaints about a musty odor or smell prompted the voluntary recall. Additional information about this recall and what to do if you purchased the product can be found at http://www.tylenol.com
“Any consumer who finds this product available for sale should immediately notify us,” said Thomas R. Calcagni, Acting Director of the State Division of Consumer Affairs. “The retailers visited today were aware of the voluntary recall and our inspectors did not find this product on store shelves.”
The Division of Consumer Affairs can be contacted via its website, www.njconsumeraffairs.gov or by calling 800-242-5846 (toll-free within N.J.) or 973-504-6200.
