Ratepayer Advocate Seema M. Singh Statement
On PSEG-Exelon Merger Agreement

Ratepayer Advocate Seema M. Singh today issued the following statement on the merger agreement between Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) and Exelon Electric & Gas:

“The Ratepayer Advocate will focus on the critical issues of whether the merger agreement will enable ratepayers to continue to receive safe, reliable and proper service,” said Ratepayer Advocate Seema M. Singh. “Our role in the merger proceedings will be to determine the impact on competition, customer rates, the employees of the concerned utilities, and the effect on reliable and safe service at reasonable rates. Throughout the process, the Ratepayer Advocate will thoroughly review the merger agreement petition and work to ensure that New Jersey’s ratepayers are protected in this proposed merger.”
