Abstract:
This dataset contains the boundaries of Fort Monouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA) Land Use Plan 2028 Reuse and Redevelopment and Planned Open Space Areas. The FEMRA was created to provide investment, continuity and economic growth to the communities impacted by the federal government's decision to close Fort Monmouth. FMERA will replace the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Planning Authority and advance that entity's Reuse and Redevelopment Plan for economic development, growth and planning, with a focus on technology-based industries, for the 1,126 acres of real estate at Fort Monmouth following the base closure in September 2011. FEMERA will act to: Promote, develop, encourage and maintain employment, commerce,economic development, and the public welfare, conserve natural resources; and advance the general prosperity and economic welfare of the people in the affected communities and throughout the state.
Purpose:
The Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA) file was created to help implement the NJ State Development and Redevelopment Plan by helping to identify areas where business and industrial related activities might locate.

The boundaries reflect delineations as of the date the files are posted on our website: www.nj.gov/state/planning. Due to the complex nature of this mapping and the relationship of all of the individual parts of the mapping, questions regarding the the file should not be resolved by or even considered using mapping alone. For this reason, any questions relating to the mapping for the State should be directed to OPA. The information has been delivered in a standard format. OPA assumes no liability for inability of the End User to use the data/software for any financial damages caused by such an inability. OPA agrees, however, to assist in resolving any problems in using the software or data and to reproduce the data if necessary.
