Route 130 lane closures for Raccoon Creek Bridge replacement in Gloucester County
Traffic shift required for start of bridge and highway improvements

Starting tonight, Friday, June 3 at 7 p.m. and continuing throughout the summer, NJDOT’s contractor PKF Mark III, Inc., is expected to reduce Route 130 from two lanes in each direction to one lane in each direction over the Raccoon Creek Bridge in Logan to allow for the first stage of the bridge replacement and pavement rehabilitation work to begin.

NJDOT has designed work on the $53 million federally-funded Raccoon Creek Bridge replacement and pavement rehabilitation project to be performed in stages. The project is expected to be completed in late 2019. The project includes the widening of Route 130 to provide two 12-foot lanes, and 8-foot outside and 3-foot inside shoulders in both directions. Project improvements include a concrete median, improved storm drainage, a raised roadway to alleviate flooding in the area, new guiderails and public access to a fishing pier with parking.

Portable variable message signs are being utilized to provide advance notification to the motoring public of all traffic pattern changes associated with the work.
