Commercial Vehicle Travel Restrictions remain in effect
on highways in North Jersey
Incline Package will be deployed before Tuesday morning commute
(Trenton) -New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials announced the NJ State Police lifted the commercial vehicle travel restriction at 6 p.m. this evening on Interstate Highways in South Jersey – I-76, I-676, I-195, and I-295.
Commercial vehicle travel restrictions remain in place on I-287, I-78, I-80, I-280.
State Highways in South Jersey are in good condition, as snow and freezing rain has turned to rain with rising temperatures.
Motorists in North Jersey should stay vigilant as there is the snow and freezing rain will continue tonight, causing slippery roadways and there may be patches of black ice. If you are driving tonight, use caution as road conditions may change quickly.
NJDOT plows and spreaders will work through the night as necessary to ensure roads are clear and safe for the Wednesday morning commute. As conditions improve in North Jersey, NJDOT will provide updates.
