Region 5 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
The States of Maryland, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Virginia and
New Jersey have signed a MOU (pdf 122 kb)
to more effectively achieve the goals of the NBIG Program. Communication
amongst states and local coastal communities will help to facilitate
Program implementation and increase the state's ability to promote
private/public partnerships and entrepreneurial opportunities. The
MOU formalized the commitment amongst the states and will serve
to advance Program administration and enable the transient boater
to enjoy each of the states transient boating facilities, waterways,
living resources and history.
