Question: Has any recent topographic survey of the area been completed?
Answer: No. Topographic survey of the project area is currently underway
and is anticipated to be completed in the Fall of 2012.
Question: The requirements for the Lead geotechnical Engineer include items which are not
related to rock slope mitigation including use of WEAP and PDA analysis. Are
these necessary for this project?
Answer: The Geotechnical Engineering team leader will not be required
to describe their experiences with Performed Wave Equation, Drivability, Pile
Dynamic Analysis, Noise Wall and Sign Structure Design.
Question: Is there a NJDOT/AASHTO Bridge and Structure Design Manual?
Answer: The Geotechnical Engineering team leader requirement should be
interpreted as "Experience with NJDOT and AASHTO Bridge and Structure Design
Manuals".
Question: Does the Geotechnical Engineering task require Noise Wall & Sign Structure
Design experience?
Answer: The Geotechnical Engineering team leader will not be required
to describe their experiences with Performed Wave Equation, Drivability, Pile
Dynamic Analysis, Noise Wall and Sign Structure Design.
Question: Is Chapter 51 a required form?
Answer: A form certifying compliance with Chapter 51 is not required for the subject
posting, because the project is federally funded.
Question: Please confirm that “ Performed Foundation, Retaining Wall, Sheet Pile, Noise
Wall & Sign Structure Design” is not a requirement for the Traffic
Engineering Team Leader.
Answer: The first experience requirement listed in Section 10 for the
Traffic Team Leader should read as follows:
Performed Highway Capacity / LOS Analysis using Highway Capacity
software, HCS
Question: Instructions for completing forms
indicate up to 6 projects may be listed for each Team Leader in Section 10 while
Section 10 indicates 5 similar projects to be provided on Team Leader resumes.
Please verify the number of projects to be provided on
resumes.
Answer: Up to 5 projects may be listed for each Team Leader in Section 10.
