Bids, Letting and Awards
Contractors doing business with the New Jersey Department of Transportation are required to submit electronic bids over the internet using
Bid Express in combination with the software
Expedite.
Expedite is a Trns•port software module that provides bidders with an electronic bid letting package, enters all information required for a valid
proposal and then submits the bid in a secure environment over the Internet using Bid Express.
Expedite is a stand alone software that can be downloaded free with a Bid Express account.
Trns•port’s Letting and Awards System
(LAS) manages and analyzes the information submitted via Bid Express to determine the apparent low bidder. The electronic information prepared by the
bidder is loaded directly into LAS to create the bid tabulation and bid letting summary reports.
LAS tracks the plan, proposal holders lists and disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) commitments. LAS can also prepare custom reports and other
additional analyses to support award decisions.
