Capital Project Procedures

The Capital Project Procedures (CPP) is now superseded by the Capital Project Delivery web site, and the CPP now supplements it in the following sections.

The Federal Highway Administration provides guidance and funding for many of our Capital Projects and the Federal-Aid Highway System explains their involvement.

The procedures are arranged in a series of steps outlined in Problem Screening, Concept Development, Preliminary Engineering, Final Design, and Construction.

The Unit (Office) List is every Bureau, Office, or Unit that has an involvement in the Procedures. It links to a Title page for each Unit, with contacts and references.

The list in Documents and Manual Used With the CPP is provided as a convenience, along with a list of helping Forms, Letters, & Samples.

Further explanation of process procedures is available on the Capital Project Delivery web site.
