Statewide Traffic Records
Coordinating Committee

Overview

The Statewide Traffic Records Coordinating Committee is a group of representatives from Federal, State and local agencies working in the traffic education, enforcement or engineering fields and who deal directly with motor vehicle crashes and the resulting issues.

As you can determine from our list of participants, traffic records data involves the driver, vehicle, roadway, other occupants and pedestrians, courts, emergency medical services, school transportation, hospital care, police officer training, driver education, laws and legislation, and many other areas.

Each discipline captures data vital to programs which impact on reducing these motor vehicle crashes and the suffering, injury and property damage that result.

This committee will strive to collect accurate, timely and complete information and integrate it within a single system available to all, and for the benefit all roadway users.
