Route US 206

 

(a)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 206 described in this subsection are designated and established as "no stopping or standing" zones where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times, except in areas covered by other parking restrictions adopted in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act, NJSA 52:14B-1 et seq., and NJAC 1:30. In accordance with the NJSA 39:4-198, proper signs shall be erected.

In Atlantic County:

i. In the Town of Hammonton:

In Burlington County:

Note: State Highway Route US 206 is coincident with State Highway Route US 130 from mileposts 35.61 to 36.27.

i. In the Township of Shamong:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) From the Atlantic County-Burlington County Corporate line to a point 2,400 feet north of Atison Road.

ii. In the Township of Southampton:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) From the junction of Route NJ 70, at the traffic circle, to a point 1,200 feet north of, and a point 1,200 feet south of, the circle.

(B) Beginning 200 feet south of the southerly curb line of Route NJ 38 to a point 400 feet north of the northerly curb line of Route NJ 38.

(C) Beginning 500 feet south of the southerly curb line of Retreat Road to a point 500 feet north of the northerly curb line of Vincetown-Buddtown Road.

iii. In the Township of Pemberton:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Between Powell Road and North Road.

iv. In the Township of Eastampton:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Between the Rancocas Creek Bridge and a point 450 feet northerly thereof.

(B) Between Powell Road and North Road.

v. In the Township of Springfield:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

vi. In the Township of Mansfield:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

vii. In the Township of Bordentown:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

In Mercer County:

Note: State Highway Route US 206 is under the jurisdiction of the Township of Hamilton from approximate mileposts 38.90 to 40.70 and the City of Trenton from approximate mileposts 40.70 to 44.50.

i. In the Township of Hamilton:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Between the Mercer County – Burlington County line and the intersection of Whitehorse Avenue.

(2)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Between the prolongation of the intersection of Whitehorse Avenue and the Mercer County – Burlington County line.

ii. In the Township of Lawrence:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides - For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions and during religious services at the following locations:

(A) Along the northbound (easterly) side between a point 35 feet north of the northerly curb line of Fairfield Avenue to approximately 35 feet south of the southerly curb line of Gedney Road.

(B) Along the northbound (easterly) side between a point 100 feet north of the northerly curb line of Gordon Avenue to a point 35 feet south of the southerly curb line of Cold Soil Road.

(A) Between the northerly curb line of NJ Route 27 and the Princeton Borough – Princeton Township corporate line.

(4)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side (Bayard Lane):

(A) Between the northerly curb line of NJ Route 27 and a point 200 feet northerly therefrom.

(B) Between Boudinot Street and the Princeton Borough – Princeton Township corporate line.

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side (Stockton Street):

(A) Between Bayard Lane (US Route 206) and Lovers Lane.

In Somerset County:

Note: State Highway Route US 206 is coincident with State Highway Route US 202 from mileposts 71.64 to 78.32.

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

ii. In the Township of Hillsborough:

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

iii. In the Borough of Somerville:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

iv. In the Borough of Raritan:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

v. In the Township of Bedminster:

(1)

vi. In the Borough of Peapack-Gladstone:

Note: State Highway Route US 206 is coincident with State Highway Route I-80 from mileposts 95.61 to 97.12.

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

ii. In the Borough of Chester:

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) Between the intersection of Main Street and the southerly corporate line of Chester Borough.

iii. In the Township of Mount Olive:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) Between the intersection of Flanders-Bartley Road and the intersection of Main Street-Flanders Road.

iv. In the Township of Roxbury:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) From a point 480 feet north of the center line of Mountain Road (Old Ledgewood Road) to the center line of Mountain Road (Old Ledgewood Road).

In Sussex County:

Note: State Highway Route US 206 is under the jurisdiction of the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission from approximate mileposts 129.28 to 129.77.

Note: State Highway Route US 206 is coincident with State Highway Route NJ 94 from mileposts 109.25 to 111.57.

i. In the Borough of Stanhope:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Between points 80 feet south of, and 50 feet north of the intersection of Main Street.

ii. In the Township of Byram:

(1)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) From the center line of Acorn Street to a point 300 feet north of the center line of Brookwood Road.

(1)

No stopping or standing along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) From a point 370 feet north of the center line of Waterloo Road to the center line of Acorn Street.

iii. In the Borough of Andover:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits where US 206 and NJ 94 are coincident, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

(A) Between the intersection of East Clinton Avenue and the Town of Newton-Township of Hampton corporate line.

(3)

No stopping or standing along both sides (Woodside Avenue):

(A) From the Andover Township-Town of Newton corporate line to the intersection of Main Street (Route US 206).

(4)

No stopping or standing along the northbound (easterly) side (Main Street):

(A) From Woodside Avenue (Route US 206) to Halstead Street.

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 206 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "no parking bus stop" zones where parking is prohibited at all times. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-198, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established bus stops:

i. In the Township of Bordentown:

Near side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Cedar Avenue - Beginning at the southerly curb line of Cedar Avenue and extending 105 feet southerly therefrom.

(A) Beginning 440 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Waterloo Road extended and extending 135 feet southerly therefrom.

(4)

Far side bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Tamarack Road (100 feet)

(5)

Mid-Block bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Beginning 235 feet south of the southerly curb line of Hi-Glen Drive and extending 135 feet southerly therefrom.

(B) Beginning 430 feet south of the southerly curb line of Waterloo Road and extending 135 feet southerly therefrom.

(c)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 206 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "time limit parking" zones where parking is prohibited at all times. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-198, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established time limit parking zones:

1.

In Mercer County:

i. In the Borough of Princeton:

(1)

Two hour time limit parking along the northbound (easterly) side from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Saturday:

(A) Beginning at a point 35 feet north of the northerly curb line of Library Place and extending 570 feet northerly therefrom.

In Sussex County:

i. In the Town of Newton:

(1)

Ten (10) minute time limit parking along the northbound (easterly) side (Main Street) from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, except Sunday and Holidays:

(A) Beginning 35 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Park Place and extending 100 feet southerly therefrom.

(2)

Thirty (30) minute time limit parking along the southbound (westerly) side at all times:

(A) Beginning at a point 190 feet south of the southerly curb line of Clinton Street and extending to a point 65 feet southerly therefrom.

(3)

One hour time limit parking along the northbound (easterly) side (Main Street) from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, except Sunday and Holidays:

(A) Beginning at the northerly curb line of Halsted Street and extending 516 feet northerly therefrom.

(B) Beginning at the southerly curb line of Spring Street and extending 80 feet southerly therefrom.

(4)

One hour time limit parking along the northbound (westerly) side (Spring Street) from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, except Sunday and Holidays:

(A) Between Main Street and High Street.

(5)

One hour time limit parking along the southbound (westerly) side (Park Place) from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, except Sunday and Holidays:

(A) Beginning at the southerly curb line of Main Street and extending 200 feet northerly therefrom.

(d)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 206 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as a "restricted parking spaces" for the use of persons who have been issued special vehicle identification cards by the Division of Motor Vehicles. No other person shall be permitted in these areas in accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-198 permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following handicapped parking spaces:

1.

In Mercer County:

i. In the Township of Lawrence:

(1)

Handicapped parking along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Beginning at a point 70 feet north of the northerly curb line of Spruce Street and extending 23 feet northerly therefrom (In front of 1007 Brunswick Avenue).

(B) Beginning at a point 55 feet south of the southerly curb line of Myrtle Avenue and extending to a point 22 feet southerly therefrom (In front of 1017 Brunswick Avenue, pursuant to NJSA 39:4-197.6).

2.

In Sussex County:

i. In the Town of Newton:

(1)

Handicapped parking along the southbound (westerly) side (Park Place):

(A) Beginning at a point 175 feet north of the southerly curb line of Route US 206/NJ 94 and extending to a point 22 feet northerly therefrom. (In front of 30 Park Place, pursuant to NJSA 39:4-197.5).

(e)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 206 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "no stopping or standing during certain hours" zones where stopping or standing is prohibited as specified below. In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-199, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established "no stopping or standing during certain hours" zones:

1.

In Morris County:

i. In the Township of Mount Olive:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto, which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation; except in areas covered by other approved parking restrictions.

(f)

The certain parts of State Highway Route US 206 described in this subsection shall be designated and established as "loading zones." In accordance with the provisions of NJSA 39:4-139 and 39:4-198, permission is granted to erect appropriate signs at the following established loading zones:

In Sussex County:

i. In the Town of Newton:

(1)

Loading zones along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Beginning at a point 40 feet south of the southerly curb line of Clinton Street and extending to a point 50 feet southerly therefrom.
