Restricted Parking and Stopping


Route NJ 42

(a)

The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 42 described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “no stopping or standing” zones, where stopping or standing is prohibited at all times:

1.

In Gloucester County:

i. In the Township of Washington:

(1)

No stopping or standing along both sides:

(A) Between the Monroe Township – Washington Township corporate line and the junction of Route NJ 168, including all ramps and connections thereto which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation.

(b)

The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 42 described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “Emergency Stopping Only” zones where emergency stopping only is permitted pursuant to NJSA 39:4-138.1 except in areas specifically designated for parking.  “Emergency Stopping Only” is defined as a sudden, generally unexpected occurrence demanding immediate action, or when required to do so by any law enforcement officer.

In Gloucester County:

i.  In the Township of Washington:

(1)

Emergency stopping only along both sides:

(A) From the junction of Route NJ 168 to the Washington Township – Gloucester Township corporate line, including all ramps and connections thereto which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation.

ii.  In the Township of Deptford:

(1)

Emergency stopping only along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation.

In Camden County:

i.  In the Township of Gloucester:

(1)

Emergency stopping only along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation.

ii.  In the Borough of Runnemede:

(1)

Emergency stopping only along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation.

iii.  In the Borough of Bellmawr:

(1)

Emergency stopping only along both sides:

(A) For the entire length within the corporate limits, including all ramps and connections thereto which are under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Transportation.

(c)

The certain parts of State Highway Route NJ 42 described in this subsection are hereby designated and established as “no parking bus stop” zones, where the parking of any vehicle other than omnibuses, picking up or discharging passengers, is prohibited at all times:

1.

In Gloucester County:

i. In the Township of Washington:

(1)

Near side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Between the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Sycamore Avenue and a point 105 feet southerly therefrom.

(B) Between the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Narberth Avenue and a point 105 feet southerly therefrom.

(C) Between the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Fries Mill Road and a point 105 feet southerly therefrom.

(D) Between the southerly curb line of Johnson Road and a point 105 feet southerly therefrom.

(E) Between the southerly curb line of Whitman Drive and a point 105 feet southerly therefrom.

(F) Between the southerly curb line of Greentree Road and a point 120 feet southerly therefrom.

(G) Between the southerly curb line of the New Jersey Transit Entrance Driveway/north and south Route NJ 42 jug handle and a point 105 feet southerly therefrom.

(2)

Far side bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Between the northerly curb line of Berlin-Cross Keys Road and a point 100 feet northerly therefrom.

(B) Between the northerly curb line of Watson Drive and a point 100 feet northerly therefrom.

(C) Between the northerly curb line of Ganttown Road and a point 100 feet northerly therefrom.

(3)

Mid-Block bus stops along the northbound (easterly) side:

(A) Between a point 280 feet south of the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Tuckahoe Road and a point 135 feet southerly therefrom, towards Ardmore Avenue.

(4)

Near side bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Between the northerly curb line of Greentree Road and a point 105 feet northerly therefrom.

(B) Between the northerly curb line of Narberth Avenue and a point 105 feet northerly therefrom.

(C) Between the northerly curb line of Sycamore Avenue and a point 105 feet northerly therefrom.

(D) Between the northerly curb line of Berlin-Cross Keys Road and a point 105 feet northerly therefrom.

(E) Between the northerly curb line of Whitman Drive jughandle and a point 105 feet northerly therefrom.

(5)

Far side bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Between the prolongation of the southerly curb line of the New Jersey Transit Garage Entrance Driveway / north and south Route NJ 42 jughandle and a point 100 feet southerly therefrom.

(B) Between the southerly curb line of Ganttown Road and a point 100 feet southerly therefrom.

(C) Between the prolongation of the southerly curb line of Johnson Road and a point 100 feet southerly therefrom.

(D) Between the southerly curb line of Fries Mill Road and a point 100 feet southerly therefrom.

(E) Between the southerly curb line of Tuckahoe Road and a point 100 feet southerly therefrom.

(6)

Mid-block bus stops along the southbound (westerly) side:

(A) Between a point 515 feet south of the southerly curb line of Watson Drive and a point 135 feet southerly therefrom, towards Tuckahoe Road.
