GCADA Summit

It is with great pleasure that we say thank you to the honorees, attendees, presenters, speakers, exhibitors, volunteers, Council members and Council staff who made the Council's 21st Annual Summit, Creating Healthy and Safe Communities, a huge success.

Thanks also to New Jersey Prevention Network and Partnership for a Drug Free New Jersey for providing additional event staff for the Summit.

The 2nd Annual W. Cary Edwards State Volunteer Awards was presented to Janice Georgallas of the Hills Valley Coalition, comprising Hillsdale, Montvale, River Vale and Woodcliff Lake Municipal Alliances of Bergen County.

We were also pleased to have presented GCADA's first annual Community Service Award to NJ 101.5 for their significant contribution to alcoholism and drug abuse prevention, public awareness, treatment and recovery in a way that reflects the mission and goals of the Council.

The Council is appreciative to all who provided Summit evaluations which, from their review, leads us to conclude the Summit was indeed a success: 98 percent of attendees found the overall quality of the Summit to be outstanding, excellent or good; 93 percent found the keynote speech to be outstanding, excellent or good; and others were similarly pleased with the Summit management, registration process, and even the Summit's food and beverage.
