Beaver, Director, Division of Pensions and Benefits SUBJECT: Dependent Eligibility Verification Audit The attached Certifying Officer Letter has been issued by the Division of Pensions and Benefits as notice of the Dependent Eligibility Verification Audit (DEVA) being conducted by Aon Consulting for the State Health Benefits Program (SHBP) and School Employees' Health Benefits Program (SEHBP). DEVA mailings directly to employee home addresses are scheduled to begin February 10, 2010. Employee compliance with DEVA is required under State law. Employees must provide specific documentation to verify that persons listed as eligible dependents meet the standards for dependent coverage under the SHBP or SEHBP.
