RETIREE DENTAL PLANS
The Retiree Dental
Plans are available to:
and local government retirees eligible to enroll in the Retired Group of the State Health Benefits Program (SHBP)
Retired Group, and
- Local education retirees eligible to enroll
in the Retired Group of the School Employees' Health Benefits Program (SEHBP).
In addition to the Retiree Dental Expense Plan (DEP), five Dental Plan Organizations (DPO) will be available to retirees eligible to enroll in the SHBP/SEHBP starting in January, 2015. A special Open Enrollment period will be held during the month of October, 2014, for all eligible retirees, even those who are not currently enrolled in the DEP.
- Five DPO plans available: Aetna DMO; Cigna; Healthplex, Horizon Dental Choice; and MetLife.
- The Retiree Dental Expense Plan, administered by Aetna, will continue to be available

All State retirees — and most other retirees — who enroll in a Retiree Dental Plan are
responsible for paying the full cost of the coverage.
