Guidelines for Annual Reports Online
Online filing of the annual report is now mandatory
for all business entities. When using the online system to file an
annual report, you will need to be aware of some key points.
- 3
pieces of information will be required to enter the system
- 10-digit
corporation number
- the
month and year the business was formed or authorized to do business
in New Jersey
- the
business type
- payment
options are e-check, credit card, and depository account. There
is no convenience fee for the use of credit cards.
- immediate
confirmation will be provided upon the successful conclusion of
the filing and payment.
- when
using the system, click the submit button only once. This will eliminate
possible duplicate submissions and/or the rejection of the transaction.
- all
outstanding reports must be filed. You will not be able to select
which outstanding reports to submit and pay.
- valid
data must be provided. Submitting inaccurate information (i.e. listing
"Micky Mouse" as the registered agent) will negate the
filing and the fees will be forfeited.
- appropriate
information for businesses with special circumstances (i.e. issues
with the filing status) will be provided during the online session.
As a
result of the electronic filing mandate, annual report filing
in person or over-the-counter is no longer accepted.
