Fed/State Electronic Filing Program Overview
REGISTERING
FOR NEW JERSEY'SELECTRONIC
FILING PROGRAM
Initial Registration With New Jersey
Everyone who
wishes to participate in New Jersey's E-File Program may, but must be registered with the IRS.
To better assist all practitioners and streamline our practices the State of New Jersey no longer requires the registration of EFIN's (Electronic Filing Identification Number). The IRS State Analyst has communicated information to New Jersey through the MOA and the POA that gives us permission to download a complete consolidated state extract that contains all EFIN/ETIN data.
New Comers To The
Fed/State Program
If you have never
participated in the Fed/State Electronic Filing Program, you will need to contact the
IRS to apply for an identification number. You can write to them at: IRS/Newark,
PO Box 668, Newark, NJ 07101-9788, Attn: Electronic Filing Coordinator.
