2011 Homestead Benefit Application Delivery Dates
for Homeowners
The following is a schedule of Homeowner Benefit Application expected delivery dates by county. Remember that it may take the Postal Service a few days to deliver all the applications in your county. Not everyone will receive their application the day delivery is expected to begin. (If you have moved to a new address, please allow additional time for your application to be forwarded by the Postal Service.)
Homeowners who filed their 2010 Homestead Benefit Applications online and indicated that they wanted to receive this year’s application electronically will be sent an e-mail containing instructions for downloading their 2011 application packet. These e-mail notifications will also be sent out by county according to the delivery schedule for the paper application packets below.
Please do not contact the Division about a missing 2011 Homestead Benefit Application until at least one week following the expected delivery date for your county. Call the Homestead Benefit Hotline (1-888-238-1233) or e-mail us for assistance.
Please note that applications are not being sent to homeowners who were identified by the Division of Taxation as having New Jersey gross income for 2011 that exceeded the income limit of either $75,000 (for nonsenior, nondisabled homeowners) or $150,000 (for homeowners age 65 or older or disabled on December 31, 2011). Based on the income limits in the proposed State Budget for fiscal year 2013, these homeowners would not be eligible for a 2011 Homestead Benefit.
