Homeowners: File Your 2011 Homestead Benefit Application

Current Year (2011) Homestead Benefit. Applications for the 2011 homeowner benefit are being mailed over a three-week period in May (View Expected Delivery Dates).

Homeowners who filed online last year and indicated they wanted to receive this year’s application electronically will be sent an e-mail containing instructions for downloading their application packet.

Tenants will not receive a 2011 rebate.

Eligibility requirements for the 2011 homeowner benefit:

• Homeowners Age 65 or Older and/or Disabled on December 31, 2011
• Homeowners Under Age 65 and NOT Disabled on December 31, 2011

Note:  Eligibility requirements and benefit amounts for 2011 will not be finalized until the completion of the State Budget for FY 2013, that must be adopted by July 1, 2012.
