Taxpayers Are Receiving Homestead Benefits

Most Homestead Benefits appear as credits on property tax bills. Qualified participants should see credits noted on their May 2017 property tax bills. If you were expecting a credit and it is not on your bill, please contact your local tax office.

A limited number of participants in the Homestead Benefit program do not receive credits on their property tax bills. The Division mailed checks to these homeowners on July 7, 2017. Delivery can take weeks for some checks. If you were expecting a check and it has not arrived, please wait until July 21, 2017, to inquire about its status.

More information about the Homestead Benefit is available online.
