The Transportation Trust Fund provides funding for New Jersey's transportation system

External Auditor

Executive Order #122 issued by Governor James E. McGreevey in July 2004, requires that each independent authority establish an Audit Committee responsible for soliciting an external auditor, reviewing the audit results and taking appropriate action.

The New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund Authority selected the firm of Mercadien P.C to complete audits for FY 2007 with the option to extend for FY 2008 and FY 2009. The Authority has authorized the Audit Committee to issue a new RFP for auditing the FY 2010 financial statements. The Audit Committee is also responsible for assigning an Evaluation Committee to score the responses and making a final recommendation to the Authority as to firm that is most advantageous to the State of New Jersey price and other factors considered.

The RFP for the auditing of FY 2010 Financial Statements is expected to occur during the 2nd quarter of FY 2010. Questions concerning the the Authority's use of external auditors may be directed to Michael J. MacFeeters, Division of Accounting and Auditing, Department of Transportation, (609) 530-6219
