GARDEN STATE PARKWAY INTERCHANGE 105 IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

BOROUGHS OF TINTON FALLS AND EATONTOWN
MOUMOUTH COUNTY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (Authority) will hold a Public Hearing in compliance with Executive Order No. 172 for the purpose of taking public comment on the proposed Garden State Parkway (GSP) Interchange 105 Improvements Project ("Project"). The Authority is proposing improvements to Interchange 105 on the GSP, in the Boroughs of Tinton Falls and Eatontown, Monmouth County, New Jersey.

The Project includes the reconstruction of the Hope Road and NJ Route 36 intersection, the construction of a new southbound connection from the GSP local (outer) roadway to Wayside Road, and the addition of a second northbound deceleration lane from the GSP local (outer) roadway to Interchange 105. The Project is intended to improve access to and from the GSP at Interchange 105 and intersection operations at the Authority’s ramp termini with the Hope Road and NJ Route 36 intersection. In addition, in accordance with the New Jersey No Net Loss Reforestation Act, N.J.S.A. 13:1L-14.1, et seq., the Authority will present information concerning the impact the Project will have to forested areas and the proposed reforestation effort. The purpose of the hearing is to inform all interested stakeholders, including local residents, public officials, and the business community, about the Project and solicit public comments.

The Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tinton Falls Municipal Court House, 556 Tinton Avenue, Tinton Falls, New Jersey, 07724. Representatives of the Authority and its consultants will be available to discuss the Project informally between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. The official Public Hearing will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a brief presentation by the Authority followed by the opportunity for members of the public to make oral comments on the Project on the record.

Written comments may also be submitted to the Authority prior to the hearing and until January 28, 2013, which is the official closing date of the comment period. All comments received, oral or written, will be responded to in a written Public Hearing Report. Written and oral comments should be addressed to:
