are resources available if needed • Living Living in in in in in in Balance Balance – The Living Living in in in in in in Balance Balance approach is a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a research-based psycho- educational program designed as as a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a practical instructional system for for conducting treatment sessions sessions for for persons who who abuse abuse or or or are are are addicted to to alcohol and other drugs of of abuse abuse The Living Living in in in in in Balance Balance client sessions sessions are are are facilitated by professionals who who are are are trained to to provide treatment services through the Living Living in in in in Balance Balance curriculum • Responsible Responsible Parenting Parenting Program Program – The Responsible Responsible Parenting Parenting Program Program is an an interdepartmental initiative that seeks to encourage family reunification and and and responsible parenting behavior and and and actions through specific interventions and and and assistance assistance strategies The two primary components are: 1) assistance assistance to offenders with active child support orders in in the the preparation and and submission of of of pro pro se modification applications and and 2) the the delivery of of a a a a a a a a a a parenting curriculum for program participants • Engaging Engaging the the the Family Family – The Engaging Engaging the the the Family Family program recruits the the the spouse/ committed partner and and children of of of offenders under its its jurisdiction as as allies in in in in an an an an effort to end end the the the criminal and and and addictive lifestyle of of of their loved ones Case managers facilitate relationship strengthening parenting and and financial literacy along with substance abuse education workshops The case managers also assist the the offender in in fin in in in in establishing specific links to to social and and and drug treatment services in in in in preparation for release release and and and additionally act as as a a a a a a a a a a resource to to the ex-offender and and family post-release Immigration Services Services and the Office of Interstate Services Services • • Immigration Immigration Immigration Services Services – Immigration Immigration Immigration Services Services monitors foreign born inmates and and provides release notification to to to to Immigration Immigration Immigration and and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in in accordance with the Attorney General’s directive Interstate Interstate Interstate Services – The office is is responsible for administering all matters under the Interstate Interstate Interstate Corrections Compact Interstate Interstate Interstate Agreement on on on on on on Detainers and International Transfer treaties This includes the the the negotiation of of of contracts to ensure compliance from each party state state state the the the the review and and acceptance of of of reciprocal transfers the the the the development of of of assurances from other countries interpreting state state state and and and federal statutes relative to interstate matters acting as as the the the liaison with the the the Governor’s Extradition Secretary and and and providing training to to county county prosecutors’ offices offices sheriffs’ offices offices and and and county county jail staff In addition the the the the office office office is involved in in in in in in in in the the the the related or or ancillary tasks in in in in in in in in the the the the area of of of of of of interstate and and and and international extradition of of of of of of fugitives and and and escapees and and and the the the the the maintenance of of of of of of a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a caseload of of of of of of more than 450 offenders serving concurrent New Jersey sentences in in in in another state or or
