COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY VIRTUAL INFORMATION SESSIONS

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the New Jersey Civil Service Commission is hosting virtual information sessions with community-based organizations serving the Hispanic community and college and university Hispanic-serving institutions (HSI) to promote careers in state and local government. HSIs are defined in federal law as accredited, degree-granting, public or private nonprofit institution of higher education with 25% or more total undergraduate Hispanic full-time student enrollment. In the 2018-19 academic year, 539 institutions met the federal enrollment criterion (According to the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, HACU). The Office of Diversity Programs has scheduled presentations at the following HSIs: Saint Peter's University, September 16, 2020, New Jersey City University,  September 29, 2020, William Paterson University, October 6, 2020, and Kean University, October 27, 2020. Additional information sessions will be scheduled throughout 2020 and 2021.
