The Department of Children and Families’ Office of Monitoring develops and implements protocols and methodologies that track the performance of providers operating in the DCF network, and the quality of service being delivered. The Office functions independent from - but in partnership with – DCF’s divisions and program offices.

OOM Scope of Work

The OOM is tasked with assessing the performance quality of the public service networks that DCF funds and oversees to ensure uniformity of service delivery within a network of service, and regular assessment of quality, referral and constituent experience, adherence to service models, and examination of outcomes and services. To accomplish this, the Office will use sound, participatory, and transparent monitoring methods. Information gathered through monitoring activities will be used to identify areas for improvement or change in the service network.
