Continuation of Board Payments During Absence

 

 

Policy             6-26-87

 

Board payments may continue when the child is temporarily absent from the residential facility and the child is expected to return to the same placement. Such absence may include, but is not limited to, when the child is:

 

     •      on vacation with parents;

 

     •      at residential camp (see CP&P-IV-E-5-300);

 

     •      hospitalized;

 

     •      at a Juvenile-Family in Crisis Shelter, or

 

     •      has run away.

 

Board payments during a child's absence may continue for a maximum of 2 weeks with the knowledge and approval of the Worker and his supervisor. The supervisor establishes a control system to ensure that board payments do not exceed 2 weeks.
