What’s New?

·         CP&P-IV-B-8-600, CP&P Access to Mobile Response Stabilization Services (MRSS) Process for Placements and Replacements in Resource Care and Kinship Homes

This issuance establishes the policies and procedures for a child or youth, age 3 to 18, placed in a resource home or kinship home. CP&P must refer the child or youth to mobile response on the same day of the placement.

MRSS is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be accessed by calling the Children’s System of Care (CSOC) Contracted System Administrator.

This issuance has been modified to include the following information (bold):


-          All report and referral assignments are routed to the Intake Designee within the Local Office through the State Central Registry (SCR). SCR alerts the Local Office by telephone of all reports requiring an immediate response. After a report/referral has been assigned to the Intake Designee within the Local Office, the Designee is responsible for immediately assigning the report to the appropriate Intake Worker, or to the assigned Worker for a report on a case in active/open status.  The primary assignment to the family is the person who is conducting the investigation.  Also, under no circumstances shall cases remain unassigned beyond the close of the business day.”
