Climate actions in New Jersey are governed by two overarching pieces of State Legislation; N.J.S.A. 26:2C-37, et seq, known as the Global Warming Response Act, and N.J.S.A. 26:2C-45, et seq, sometimes referred to as the Global Warming Solutions Fund Act. The Global Warming Solutions Fund Act provides the statutory authority for both the CO2 Budget Trading Program and the Global Warming Solutions Fund rules.
