New Jersey's state parks and forests are open and awaiting your arrival! Please remember to Mask Up! when social distancing is not possible along trails, in parking lots and on paths.
Use this page as your guide to keep up to date on our latest operational changes due to COVID-19.
Restrooms are open to the public and are cleaned frequently.
Park offices have begun to reopen their doors to the public. Please call ahead to ensure the park office you plan on visiting is open.
Masks are required to enter all open buildings.
Nature centers and historic sites remain closed to the public at this time.
The State Park Service has continuously phased in camping operation since June of 2020.
At this time reservations are being accepted for family tent and trailer campsites, group campsites, primitive campsites, RV sites, cabins, shelters, lean-tos and wilderness campsites.
Reservations can be made by visiting camping.nj.gov.
We look forward to the continued phased reopening of additional overnight facilities.
Programming has resumed throughout New Jersey's state parks and forests.
At this time all programming is conducted outdoors.
Masks and social distancing is required when attending all programs.

Swimming will be offered at the following state parks for the summer 2021 season.
Capacity to swim areas will be limited to ensure social distancing.
As stated in Executive Order #163, masks are required in indoor spaces as well as outdoors where social distancing is not practicable. Mask up at State Parks in and around:
