SEPTEMBER 18: Turn Back the Clock Day: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Do you miss the up beat music and hula-hoop fun of the 1950s?  Join Wharton State Forest’s staff while they turn back the clocks 55 years and experience a different era!  Listen to the Du Wop DJ while visiting one of the Batsto Village homes retro-furnished to the 1950s.  Bring your own antiques and have them appraised at the Antique Road Show.  Visit the Antique Car Show and their 50 sleek cars all from the era. Of course you can’t leave until you swivel and sway in the exciting hula-hoop contest!  This all day event is free, but donations are welcomed.

OCTOBER 16: Country Living Fair: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This year the Jeep folks will offer a camp-out on Saturday night, complete with a special guest to share the history and ecology of the Pine Barrens. Food and door prizes follow the event’s conclusion on Sunday afternoon at Pic-A-Lilly’s Restaurant on Route 206 in Shamong Township.

December 4: Friends of Batsto Open House: 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This event concludes the yearlong tribute to Wharton State Forest's 50th anniversary celebration and marks the beginning of the 50th year of the Batsto Citizens Committee. Join us for a small ceremony prior to the Open House to honor the families of those people who played a major role in Batsto's beginning days under state ownership.
