Participants board a 15-passenger pontoon boat for a day trip or an overnight stay to experience and learn about New Jerseys' beach and marine ecology and the value of coastal resources on this unique recreational and educational experience. Consult the Fish and Game website for information on scheduling, what to bring and other details.

  • Overnight participants stay in a simple but scenic former duck hunting lodge equipped with bunks and an outside composting toilet.

  • The package includes a lunch of whatever seafood you can catch (or you can bring your own).

  • The division is a registered provider with the Department of Education and professional development credit is available to teachers for the workshops.

  • The cost of the one day workshop is $30 per person. The cost of a two-night, three-day workshop is $110 per person (minimum 10 participants, maximum 14). Cost includes transportation to and from the island, instruction, equipment and facility use. Participants provide their own meals.
