[SRRA] Request for Public Input on the Revised Draft Interim Specific Ground Water Quality Criterion for Perfluorononanoic Acid (PFNA)

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (Department) has developed and is requesting public input for a revised draft Interim Specific Ground Water Quality Criterion (ISGWQC) for Perfluorononanoic Acid (PFNA, CAS # 375-95-1). This revision is an update to the draft ISGWQC posted by the Department in April 2014.

The following draft document has been posted to this website https://www.nj.gov/dep/dsr/ for public input:

  • REVISIONS TO THE DRAFT INTERIM SPECIFIC GROUND WATER QUALITY CRITERION FOR PERFLUORONONANOIC ACID (PFNA)

The public is being asked to supply input for the following focus questions:

  • Are you aware of additional data or technical information relevant to the choice of uncertainty factors?
  • Are the uncertainty factors consistent with current USEPA guidance and the use of uncertainty factors in previous risk assessments developed by USEPA, NJDEP, and DWQI?
  • Are you aware of additional data or technical information relevant to the choice of Relative Source Contribution factor?
  • Is the Relative Source Contribution factor consistent with current USEPA guidance and the use of uncertainty factors in previous risk assessments developed by USEPA, NJDEP, and DWQI?

Comments on the revised ISGWQC are requested no later than 5 pm, Monday May 11, 2015.
