[SRRA]: June 18, 2019 Site Remediation and Waste Management Program's Training on the Updates to the Soil and Ground Water Remedial Action Permit (RAP) Forms, Regulations and Processes

Training on Updates to the Soil and Ground Water Remedial Action Permit (RAP) Forms, Regulations and Processes will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM (check-in at 12:30) in the DEP Public Hearing Room, 401 East State Street, Trenton. The training will also be offered via webinar (see webinar registration information below).

Program Description:
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's (NJDEP) Site Remediation and Waste Management Program has created new Remedial Action Permit (RAP) applications/forms. They are: RAP Initial, RAP Modification, and RAP Termination Applications for both soil and ground water, as well as a new Deed Notice Termination Form. The program will cover the conversion from the current Soil and Ground Water RAP Applications into initial, modification, and termination applications. Presenters will work through the permitting process, utilizing case studies and real-life scenarios to explain common issues. A discussion regarding the use of remediation funding source (RFS) as financial assurance (FA) will also be included.

Continuing Education Credits (CECs):
The Department has applied to the Site Remediation Professional Licensing Board (SRPLB) for 2.5 Regulatory Credits for this course. The application for CECs is currently before the Licensing Board. Please note certificates WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE until the course is approved by the SRPLB. Credits, once approved, may be applicable to NJ PE licenses, PE licenses from other states, and PG licenses from other states; please verify the requirements that apply to your licenses.

The List of Board-Approved Continuing Education Programs is Available at:
www.nj.gov/lsrpboard/board/education/approved_continuing_education_courses_all_dates.pdf. After the course, the Licensed Site Remediation Professional Association (LSRPA) will provide eligible attendees detailed instructions via email regarding how to obtain a CEC certificate.
