The Coalition for the Delaware River Watershed (CDRW) held its 8th Annual Delaware River Watershed Forum virtually in September 2020. Themed From the Headwaters to the Bay and the Tribs In-Between: Satying Connected Amidst a Pandemic, the four-day event featured dozens of presentations on a variety of topics focused on the health of the river and the communities that depend on its water resources.
As part of the Forum, DRBC staff presented on A Fishable, Swimmable (and Drinkable) Delaware River Estuary. This presentation highlighted what's been done to date and what's still needed to meet the goals of a fishable, swimmable and drinkable Delaware Estuary, with a practical focus on the exisitng problems and potential solutions to improve water quality in this urban stretch of river.
