PennEast Pipeline Proposed Project Information
2020 Updates

On January 30, 2020, PennEast sent a letter to the Commission withdrawing its application dated February 2016 from consideration by the DRBC.


On February 5, 2020, DRBC sent a letter to PennEast, in response to its Jan. 30 letter.


On March 11, 2020, at DRBC's first-quarter business meeting, Exec. Dir. Tambini said that in response to our Feb. 5 letter, PennEast has requested a meeting with Commission staff. DRBC staff and the DRBC Commissioners will continue to address the review of this project (and all projects) consistent with its jurisdiction and authority under the Delaware River Basin Compact and implementing regulations.


On March 30, 2020, DRBC sent a letter to FERC, indicating that the PennEast Pipeline Project - Phase 1 is subject to Commission review.


On May 11, 2020, PennEast submitted its application materials for the PennEast Pipeline Project - Phase 1 to DRBC.


On June 1, 2020, DRBC sent a letter to FERC regarding the Commission's review authority over the PennEast Pipeline - Phase 1 Project.


On July 17, 2020, PennEast submitted materials to update/supplement its May 2020 application in response to DRBC's request for additional/updated information.


Stay Updated: 

  • Individuals and organizations may be added to DRBC’s Interested Parties List (IPL) for the PennEast Pipeline Project - Phase 1 by providing the party’s name, organization (if applicable), address and email information to penneastapp@drbc.gov or sending their contact information by mail to DRBC, Attn.: Project Review Section, P.O. Box 7360, 25 Cosey Road, West Trenton, NJ 08628.

  • Parties on the IPL will receive direct notice of information related to DRBC’s review, including the Notice of Application Received (NAR) and Public Hearing Notice, when issued. A formal public comment period, including details concerning the commission’s public hearings and methods for submitting written comments, will be announced upon publication of the draft docket. In the interim, comments on the project may be sent to the following email address: penneastapp@drbc.gov.


DRBC has no additional comment at this time.
