Office of Budget and Accounting

This office is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the Department's annual budget request. Additionally, the office provides oversight of the Department's operational and state budgets including revenue forecasting, expenditure tracking and financial reporting. The office directs the implementation of policies for administrative accounting, budget review and preparation, analyses of financial data, purchasing, capital appropriations and expenditures, and sound fiscal management.

In addition, the office also handles all accounting transactions which include refunds, collections of Department revenues, account transfers, payments to vendors & travel reimbursements, financial reports, third-party agreements, monitoring Department accounts to ensure that there are sufficient funds, preparing required state and federal financial reports, along with overseeing the accounting activities of the Department, and other related fiscal responsibilities.
