Publication of Three Notices of Proposed Amendments to N.J.A.C.
At its November public meeting, the State Board of Education approved the following proposal for publication in the November 7, 2016, New Jersey Register:
- Amendments to N.J.A.C. 6A:3, Controversies and Disputes; N.J.A.C. 6A:9, Professional Standards; N.J.A.C. 6A:11, Charter Schools; and N.J.A.C. 6A:32, School District Operations.
The rulemaking would repeal or amend several regulatory provisions that are either unnecessary or duplicative.
The Acting Commissioner of Education also filed the following proposals for publication in the November 7, 2016, New Jersey Register:
- Readoption without amendments of N.J.A.C. 6A:13, Programs and Practices to Support Student Achievement; and
- Readoption without amendments of N.J.A.C. 6A:13A, Elements of High-Quality Preschool Programs.
The rulemaking for N.J.A.C. 6A:13 is related to the rules governing programs and practices that support student achievement for all students and address the unique needs of at-risk students enrolled in high-poverty and high-need school districts. The rulemaking for N.J.A.C. 6A:13A is related to the implementation of high-quality preschool programs for eligible, at-risk three- and four-year-old children in the state.
The three notices of proposal can be viewed on the Department's website.
Members of the public may send written comments concerning the proposals by January 6, 2017, via the website or via the mailing or email addresses contained in the notices of proposal.
