School/Family/Community Engagement

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) requires schools to engage parents of public and private school students in the development, implementation, and annual review of school programs for Title I students. The ESEA further requires that "schools engage parents in regular, 2-way communication that is meaningful and pertains to academic learning and other school activities". The parent engagement requirements for schools and districts serving students through Title I are:
