Antimicrobial Stewardship Recognition Program

2019 APPLICATIONS DUE JULY 15

In 2019, the New Jersey Department of Health launched the NJ Antimicrobial Stewardship Recognition Program to:

  • Acknowledge our top performers and encourage developing stewardship programs
  • Improve visibility of ASPs within their organizations
  • Encourage new leaders and find unique initiatives
  • Sustain current emphasis on stewardship in NJ

The three application types are:

  1. Acute care hospitals
  2. Post-acute care facilities (e.g., long-term acute care, skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation)
  3. Outpatient facilities (e.g., physician’s offices, ambulatory surgery, urgent care, hemodialysis)

Applicants from acute care hospitals and post-acute care facilities will be recognized as Gold, Silver, or Bronze awardees, based on the difficulty of ASP interventions. Outpatient healthcare facilities will be recognized with a general award during the 2019 program, though tiered outpatient awards are under development for future program years.
