When to Report

There are two categories of disease reporting. Some diseases are required to be reported immediately by telephone upon identification by a laboratory or by diagnosis of a health care provider. Other diseases are reportable within 24 hours of identification by a laboratory or by diagnosis of a health care provider. The resources provided under “Which diseases and conditions must be reported” indicate which disease fall into these two categories. Please Note* - The 2013 disease reporting materials listed below are still current (as of February 2019) until new regulations go into effect.
