The Facility is Now the Sixth Alternative Treatment Center to Operate

The Department of Health (DOH) today issued a permit allowing the Harmony Foundation in Secaucus to operate and dispense medical marijuana. The Harmony Foundation is now the sixth Alternative Treatment Center (ATC) dispensing marijuana for medical use in New Jersey.   

The announcement comes as New Jersey’s Medicinal Marijuana Program (MMP) is growing at a rate of 100 patients a day. More than 23,200 patients are participating in the program, including 6,000 with some form of chronic pain. A total of 5,000 new patients have joined the program since DOH implemented new program reforms earlier this year, including the addition of five new qualifying medical conditions: anxiety, migraines, Tourette syndrome, chronic pain related to musculoskeletal disorders, and chronic visceral pain.

“The Murphy Administration is committed to making New Jersey’s medicinal marijuana program more consumer-friendly and responsive to all patients,” said Health Commissioner Dr. Shereef Elnahal. "The availability of this new ATC will provide residents in the northern part of the state better access to products they need to treat their conditions.”

According to Harmony Foundation, the dispensary will open today and operate from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days per week.

The five other ATCs currently dispensing include Greenleaf Compassion Center of Montclair, Compassionate Care Foundation of Egg Harbor, Garden State Dispensary of Woodbridge, Breakwater Alternative Treatment Center of Cranbury, and Curaleaf NJ, Inc. in Bellmawr.

Patients and caregivers can visit the MMP's website  to change their designated ATC. The change can also be made by calling the Customer Service Unit of the MMP at 609-292-0424 and does not require changing ID cards.
