Statutes

history

There are several sources of law: There are specific laws that are in the U.S. Constitution; the President creates laws called Executive Orders; local government creates laws called ordinances; agencies create laws called regulations; and legislatures create laws called statutes. There are agencies at the federal and state levels, and both create regulations. OSHE is an agency at the NJ state level and creates regulations that govern higher education. The U.S. Congress creates statutes at the federal level for our entire country. The NJ Assembly creates statutes for the state of New Jersey.

Statutes from Title 18A Higher Education.
